Recently, I ordered 20 bags of chicken food. Each bag is 50 pounds. How many pounds of chicken food did I order (yes Ashley, this is another Math question!)?
We need to figure out how long the food is going to last.
I need all of you to come up with a plan so that we can see if we have enough food to last through the summer.
In your response, please carefully explain how we can figure this problem out. After all, if we run out of food before I return in August, the chickens will die, and the elders will not have anymore eggs. We want healthy, happy birds!

20 times 50 is 1000 pounds of chicken food. So how much to you feed the chicken a day. how many pounds? so if you feed the chickens less chicken food and start feeding them scraps maybe will have enough chicken food for the summer or over the summer. But thats what i think,
i think the food will last it a 1000 pounds. but whos going to feed them take care of them?
What's our plan? Should we start keeping better track of how much food the chicken's eat every day?
Be more detailed please! I'll get the 6th graders to do the work, I need the High School students to come up with the plan!

well the plan is too try and keep as much chicken food for the summer. So feed the chicken. chicken food like once a day. and see how much you save.
I go with Tiff feed the chickens scrap food and in the summer their would be even more scraps for them if they eat bugs then theirs bugs the chickens can eat, but im not worried about the feeding its more like who will feed them and take care of them?
hmm...it seems like we need to figure out how much, per day, the chickens are eating.
how do you think you can best figure that out? or have you already and it's not posted?
since the 1000 lbs of chicken food came in, how much has been consumed?
so, are high schoolers to figure out who will feed the chickens as well?
I say we feed the chickens a combination of eggshells , food scraps and chicken feed.
