We've decided to name our sick chicken "Asha". We brought her inside yesterday when we noticed one of her eyes were shut. Today our students are carefully examining her and trying to figure out what is wrong with her. We'll be posting observations as we go through the next few days.

The Chicken is not eating/drinking well, is very light,eyes are both closed. It is very dirty compared to the others. She reacted to a camera's flash.(A little twitch.) She Can hear good as it seems. when loud noises are around she jumps a bit.
Some web sites have said to bath her in vegetable oil to see if she has feels or tics. also to take some kinda of antibiotics. But i forgot what kind it was. Also she might not be getting much protein in her food.( We can try to soak some bread and feed it to her.)

Now both of the chicken eyes are close. And she not drink any water or the bread. She the smallest chicken out of the rest of the chickens. It don't have the lil red thing on top of it's head!

When we move a pencle around both of her eyes, she wouldn't see the pencle. The waddle and comb is small and yellow compared to the other chickens. She never layed an eggin awhile. March 4,2009 10:24a.m she drank some water.She is only 6 months old. Her poop in much smaller compared to the other chickens.
We do not know whats wrong with the sick chicken(Asha). Her eye is fine but her eyelids wont open.She drinks very little water.The sick chicken comb and waddle are white like compared to the other chickens.
The sick chicken eyes our closed. it also got a bump on its back.it got a smaller waddle and comb then the other chickens. And the other healthy chicken in the chicken.

The sick chicken eyes are both closed. She got something on her back. She drank sum water at 10:24. She got a small waddle and a small comb. She is a little dirtier then the others. Her poop is smaller then the other chickens. When you put a pencil near her eye she does not ove her head.
I only seen the sick chicken a couple of times. But it look like its not sick or anything but I don't know, I think that it just got beat up pretty bad and messed up its eyes.
I have no clue what is wrong with the sick chicken. She won't eat after the second day in the school. But when Matthew brought her in the first day she ate. But most of the time she pecking around hoping she with peck something thats food. She can hear but she really can't see.
